Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Who you are agreeing with

Riverge is operated by Lucas Erik Andreas Lundmark, Spolegatan 15, 222 19 Lund, Sweden. These terms apply when you create an account, join a room, or otherwise use the service.

Your account

Your code stays yours

Everything you write in Riverge belongs to you. You grant us only the permission needed to store, display and sync it so collaboration works. We claim no ownership, we do not use your code to train models, and we will not show it to anyone you have not invited.

Anyone you invite to a room can see and, depending on their role, edit what is in it. Room links let people join as read-only spectators, so treat a link as public and use invite-only rooms for anything sensitive.

Running code

Your code runs in your own browser, not on our servers. That means what it does is your responsibility. Do not use Riverge to attack systems, mine cryptocurrency at someone else’s expense, host malware, or do anything illegal. Do not use it to harass people or share content you have no right to share.

Rooms, and rooms that expire

Free rooms are kept for 7 days after their last activity, then deleted permanently, files included. Visiting a room resets the clock; a paid plan removes the limit entirely. If you cancel a paid plan, the 7-day clock starts from the cancellation rather than from whenever you last opened each room, so nothing vanishes the moment you downgrade. Export anything you care about, any project can be downloaded as a zip.

Plans and billing

Fair use

There are no hard usage quotas, because normal use is not a problem. We ask that you not use Riverge as bulk storage, not automate abuse of the service, and not deliberately try to break it for other people. If something you are doing is causing trouble, we will contact you before taking action wherever we reasonably can.

Availability

Riverge is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and we watch it, but we do not promise it will never be down, and we may change or discontinue features. Your work syncs to your own browser as well as our servers, so a brief outage does not mean lost code, but please keep your own copies of anything important.

Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or endanger the service or other users, and where it is safe and lawful we will warn you first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Governing law

Swedish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live, and you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform if you prefer.

Changes

We may update these terms, and for material changes we will give notice before they take effect.
